This is a very light read which I can imagine reading on a hot summer day。 The dogs in the book made me enjoy the book more。 They were cute and funny。 The romance was nice。 I'm not sure yet if I'll read more of this author, since it was not a very original story。 It were the dogs that made the plot stand out from heartbreak romances。 The rest was pretty standard。I received this book from NetGallery in return for a honest review。 This is a very light read which I can imagine reading on a hot summer day。 The dogs in the book made me enjoy the book more。 They were cute and funny。 The romance was nice。 I'm not sure yet if I'll read more of this author, since it was not a very original story。 It were the dogs that made the plot stand out from heartbreak romances。 The rest was pretty standard。I received this book from NetGallery in return for a honest review。 。。。more

This is a perfect read for the summer。 I hadn't realised this was book number 3 until after I had finished it。 I'm tempted to read the other two but you don't need to, to enjoy it that's for sure! This story follows Daisy, unlucky in love and unsure of her future, embarking on an adventure in France。 I personally adore France, we travel every year and this book made me really excited for our up and coming trip。 The story was great, I'm certain there will be a next in the series and I'll definite This is a perfect read for the summer。 I hadn't realised this was book number 3 until after I had finished it。 I'm tempted to read the other two but you don't need to, to enjoy it that's for sure! Daisy's french escape as a result of misjudged love affair lets us meet up again with Poppy, JoJo and their lovely dogs。 Daisy has psychometric abilities that have left her open to bullying and judgement from others, even her parents。 Only her grandmother, who shares her gift, is supportive, and she is on a spiritual retreat。 Poppy and JoJo welcome Daisy, who settles into life at the guesthouse complex。 Dreaming of a new life in France, Daisy starts a dog-walking and pet sitting service and meet Daisy's french escape as a result of misjudged love affair lets us meet up again with Poppy, JoJo and their lovely dogs。 Daisy has psychometric abilities that have left her open to bullying and judgement from others, even her parents。 Only her grandmother, who shares her gift, is supportive, and she is on a spiritual retreat。 Poppy and JoJo welcome Daisy, who settles into life at the guesthouse complex。 Dreaming of a new life in France, Daisy starts a dog-walking and pet sitting service and meets Anton。Daisy and Anton become friends, but the attraction between them is undeniable。 Any possible romance is conflicted as Anton is bereaved, and Daisy is determined to guard her heart this time。 The sensual romance is lyrically written and interwoven with emotion。 It endears the couple to the reader and makes this an engaging read。I also enjoyed the folklore and historical details that enrich the story, the vibrant setting, and the delightful antics of the many dogs—a romantic tale woven with emotion, history, magic and humour。I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher。 。。。more

This was a beautiful and restorative tale of Daisy coming back to life。 She comes to stay with her friend, Poppy, after she is mortified by an encounter with a married customer, Scott。 She is very naive about what she is coming into and how long she will be in France, but seems to just want to jump to anywhere else other than the hotel that she was working in。 She gets stuck into the work at the guesthouse with JoJo and Poppy very quickly, taking care of a pack of dogs that live there, and leavi This was a beautiful and restorative tale of Daisy coming back to life。 She comes to stay with her friend, Poppy, after she is mortified by an encounter with a married customer, Scott。 She is very naive about what she is coming into and how long she will be in France, but seems to just want to jump to anywhere else other than the hotel that she was working in。 She gets stuck into the work at the guesthouse with JoJo and Poppy very quickly, taking care of a pack of dogs that live there, and leaving the owners space to breathe。。 before meeting Anton, and taking on the care of his dogs。 who also helps her both settle into the area, trust herself and fall in love again。。。 with her area and herself。。。I found that this book showed the restorative power of stepping away from the real world, to friendship, and to the love and healing of dogs who are far more sensitive to us and our needs than we realise。 。。。more

A pleasant enough novel that was a lighthearted read but I can’t say it overly grabbed me。 I enjoyed the dog antics and the setting but found the chapters to be overly long。 Thank you to NetGalley, One More Chapter and the author for the chance to review。

This was a very readable story with many great characters and a storyline which shows the ups and downs of life ,and , illustrating how the decisions we make that can affect the present and future。 。A very realistic story and the dogs were great fun。 A delightful conclusion。

I was gifted this book。 I saw that it was the fourth in the series, so I looked into the other books in the series, before starting and saw that book 2 was a novella and it was actually free on Amazon! So, I decided I would read the novella first, in case, I needed a little background。 What I discovered was book 4 can be read independently, and not reading the other books in the series did not affect my enjoyment or understanding of book 4。 The novella was a nice story and gave me a background o I was gifted this book。 I saw that it was the fourth in the series, so I looked into the other books in the series, before starting and saw that book 2 was a novella and it was actually free on Amazon! It is what I consider a light romance, no heavy drama, but it was full of substance。 The meant-to-be couple definitely were meant to be and as a reader I saw that immediately since the main female character has a special quality that showed the special connection。 In truth, her special quality is what made the book so enjoyable to me。 I love a book that has a little magical or mystical quality and that is what really made me love this story。 It was very interesting to see how she handles her special gift, and how others react to it。 It is woven into the story so well that the story would not have been able to flow like it did if this quality not existed。 This book, and the book 2 (novella), are the first works that I have read by this author。 She has created wonderful, fully developed, flawed characters that definitely went straight to my heart, and an interesting plot。 If I may, I would say one negative thing about the book, for me personally, that I’m sure many people will disagree with, is that they had too many dogs and they controlled quite a bit of the story, that I could have done without。 While I love animals, I am not what anyone would ever call “a pet mom”。 I enjoy other people’s pets but have never felt the drive to have one myself。 So, taking that into consideration, that is why I am sure I did not identify with the characters having so many dogs。 Having said that, I already have stated in my review that I really enjoyed the story, so it definitely did not change my opinion of the overall book at all。Thank you to HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for giving me the pleasure of reading the advance reader copy, with no obligation to write a review。 My review is written freely as a hobby, and is totally my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC。 。。。more

I found this book followed the standard romantic novel to a T。 Heartbreak, move to new place, fall in love again。 The only thing that made the book interesting was the dogs。 They helped to add humour and add a fun twist to the story。

How wonderful to be back with Poppy and JoJo and their herd of adorable dogs in the French countryside。 And we have a brand new main character to get to know and love, which is exactly what happens as I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Daisy。 Especially as she has decided to set up as a dog sitter and dog walker, and as a result we meet some other equally adorable dogs, and my heart melted at the antics of all of our canine friends in this book。 Actually I think at times the dogs had more vibr How wonderful to be back with Poppy and JoJo and their herd of adorable dogs in the French countryside。 And we have a brand new main character to get to know and love, which is exactly what happens as I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Daisy。 Especially as she has decided to set up as a dog sitter and dog walker, and as a result we meet some other equally adorable dogs, and my heart melted at the antics of all of our canine friends in this book。 Actually I think at times the dogs had more vibrancy and personality than the humans, which isn't necessarily a bad thing and the humans are good too! Once again I'm impressed at how well Lorraine Wilson writes sex scenes, they are fantastic and along with her canines always are stand out parts of her books 。 This is such an light and enjoyable book, and had me smiling throughout。 I had a great time reading this。 Thank you to One More Chapter and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily。 。。。more

When I got the invitation to read this book, I fell in love with the cover (it's so gorgeous!) and jumped at the chance to read the it without paying much attention to the plot。 Romance-y kind of stuff in the French countryside? Sure! I hadn't realized that it's part of a series, but that didn't really matter--it was very easy for me to get into all aspects of the book。 The writing was smooth and the pacing was just right for me and it was the perfect little vacation in a novel。 Keep in mind tha When I got the invitation to read this book, I fell in love with the cover (it's so gorgeous!) and jumped at the chance to read the it without paying much attention to the plot。 Romance-y kind of stuff in the French countryside?
